Over the past few months I have been working with the exciting new company; Roxcycl. At Roxcycl we like to do things a bit differently and we are offering 3 NSW or ACT women, over 18 years of age, the opportunity to be supported to chase their goals!

You don’t have to be aspiring to go to the olympics or the win the nationals but we want to help you and all women with access to some top quality Velocio and Vanderkitten cycling kit as well as $1000 to support you towards an event you haven’t don’t before. This could be a master’s race, a triathlon, a MTB race, a NRS race or a pre agreed event.

In light of this great initiative I thought I would share #mygoalrox for 2015. After a tough year with injury in 2014 my goal for next season is to stand on the top step of a UCI podium in the first six months of 2015. I look forward to chasing this along with monitoring the new Roxcycl ambassadors for 2015!

Lauren renews with Hitec Products for 2015!

Lauren is excited to announce she will stay one more year with Hitec Products Women’s Team. The norwegian team offers Lauren a great environment to continue woking towards her cycling goals and she looks forward to repaying the team for their support in 2015;

“I am very happy I am staying with Hitec in 2015, I had a difficult year with an injury this year and Karl, the manager, has been very supportive and helpful and I really hope to repay the team’s support with results in 2015”

Lauren will follow a similar race schedule to the last few years however she hopes to mix things up a little with some new experiences and hopefully a personal challenge of an MTB race or two. Lauren is currently recovering from surgery on her iliac artery but hopes to be firing for the Spring Classics come March;

“I love the Spring races! They are just so hard, they show who is the strongest and there is no where to hide!”

Looking to 2015,┬áLauren’s goals will include Worlds selection to compete in Richmond come September but before then Lauren hopes to ride herself into the top 10 on a consistent basis as well as the top step on the podium a few times in 2015. Racing and training with an injury for the past few years has taught Lauren a new appreciation for patience and commitment and she can’t wait to get into 2015 to show everyone but most importantly herself just how far she can go!
