Lauren is very pleased to announce that she has become the ambassador for Rydges Port Macquarie and for Zebu bar and grill. The support of Rydges Port Macquarie will give Lauren more support to focus on her training and recovery commitments as she strives towards the ultimate sporting goal, The Olympic Games.

Rydges have supported the Port Macquarie cycle club and the Real Aussie Kids development squad for over a number of years, both of which Lauren has been a part of, so for Lauren to become an ambassador for Rydges shows the growing support of the well known Port Macquarie Icon to support a local athlete through all levels of the sport.

" I am very excited to be working with Rydges and Zebu for the coming years. I truly value the local support from Port Macquarie and now to have Rydges and Zebu backing me, makes me even more hungry to put Port Macquarie on the map of world cycling" said Lauren who has just signed with the Wiggle-Honda cycling team for 2013.

Lauren has recently been back in Port Macquarie for a pre-season training block in preparation for the Bay Cycling Classic which runs from January 1st-3rd in Geelong and the Australian Nationals on the 10th and 12th of January in Ballarat. Lauren will then head to London for the Wiggle Honda presentation taking place on the 25th of January.

Lauren's 2013 goals are based around performing at the Australian races in early January as well as in the spring classics in March and April in Holland and Belgium. "My favorite races are the hard one day races with tough weather conditions and challenging terrain, such as the Tour of Flanders and Flèche Wallone, I hope to perform well in these races next year and now with the support of Rydges and Zebu, I know I can put everything into it" Lauren added.
